EVERY TIME I FEEL LAME, I'M LOOKING UP
about the roleplayer ----------------- *
Cayenne
NAME/ALIAS ,
EXPERIENCE , 5-ish years
OTHER CHARACTERS, None, as of yet.
ROLEPLAY SAMPLE , Sometimes, now that things have settled down, Hermione looks back and is glad that it took her and Ron so long to admit their feelings.
The night of the war, only an hour or two and countless tears and kisses after He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named had been defeated, Ron had gone down on one knee and proposed. He had apologized for the lack of ring and romance, but it was everything Hermione had dreamed about for nothing short of seven long years. They had gotten married just as soon as Molly could throw it together and it was huge, beautiful wedding. Expensive, but funded by a still apologetic and grateful Ministry, and attended by thousands; surprisingly, just the way they had both wanted it.
Characteristic to the usual Weasley fashion, Hermione became pregnant on their wedding night, and neither of them could have been happier – Ron perhaps even moreso than his wife.
Everything was happening so fast, andneither of them wanted anything to slow down.
Perhaps they were making up for seven years of lost time; of sadness, danger, fear and hatred. More likely then not, though, Hermione thought that maybe they were just trying to get everything done before their lives were suddenly over. They were only eighteen, but seven of those years had been focused on a war that had taken over their every waking moment by the time it ended. Now that it was over, what was the point? They assumed it was to fall in love, have babies, be happy. Maybe it was, after all. She's still not quite sure.
She wonders about those seven years she could have spent with Ron a little too often. She knows that, had they come together sixth, or even min-seventh year, they would have gotten married then and there, and that could have been dangerous.
It would have been so hard on Harry and he couldn't have dealt with it. They would have been more focused on each other than the hunt and – perhaps most importantly, it would have made it so much more clear to the Death Eaters how to hurt either of them.
But then she thinks about all the cold, lonely nights she cried herself to sleep alone, when she could have been crying into his chest. All the arguments she could soothed away with a kiss. All the unessecary fear and stress that would have simply vanished for them both.
Sometimes, now that things have settled down, Hermione looks back and is glad that it took her and Ron so long to admit their feelings. But usually, she wishes it hadn't.
