Welcome to the second chapter of Of Saints and Sailors. We have called it 'The Crimson Tides' because many of our pirates have been stricken against and laid to rest. The shores are filled with their blood as the tides cover our shores with a tainted color. Our story, at nearly two years since its beginnings, continues! Skies have become black, nights have gone silent, but the Caribbean sun has a way of bringing about a new day. Ships have been sunk, pirates hung, but some still lurk in the shadows pondering revenge. Will you choose to aid them or continue to forsake them?
After months of planning and resurrecting an old alliance with the king of France and his ambassador, the mighty King of England, the result has struck the golden age of piracy.... Hard. The Prince of England was sent to destroy any and all who opposed the crown, and did so with brute force. Leading ships have been sunk, a code of brethren left in nothing but shambles and ashes, and a French port has been reclaimed. Spittlefield is no more, and piracy has been dealt with a devastating blow. Most, if not all, pirates have been killed or captured, leaving only a handful left scattered amongst the Caribbean cities living in secrecy as your common everyday citizens in order to escape treacherous hanging or beheading.
The ports are now safe, and once again the governors and ambassadors of their rightful cities have been able to stake their claims, taking their place as head of their islands. Civilians can now roam their homeland in safety, and the prince of England has returned home. It seems that happiness and safety has finally returned to the ports, and that piracy has reached it's end. But lurking deep within the shadows are those that have survived and now seek revenge. They patiently and silently wait as they search to rebuild their empire and recruit those that support their cause, wanting nothing more than true freedom.
As your character starts as a civilian in the epic adventure of Caribbean life, you will encounter pirates trying to persuade you to join them, a Navy that promises adventure and honor, and civilians that flourish and bask in serenity. Will you be swayed as friend or foe? Will you oppose the king, or will you fight for your beliefs? In these Crimson Tides, the blood runs thick upon it's shores, revenge is in the air, able to be seen like a misty fog rolling in on a dark cool night. Spirits of the fallen will forever remain until their souls can be revenged and freed. Which side will you take? War or peace?
We have many positions to be filled, many stories still left to be told, and only time is on our side in order to do so. We hope you love drama, action and romance, because that's what we have to offer here. Our board is what you make it, so don't hesitate to start today...
