ROLEPLAY SAMPLE ,[/color]
gray hudson sat on the edge of the dock, his feet dangling over the edge and just barely skimming the water. it was late afternoon and the twenty-four year old would have been preparing for a gig if it was any other day but the band had decided to take the night off. all of his friends were planning on a night of drinking and partying and although gray usually was the first person to even suggest going out, he was strangely bored and tired of the party scene that day. instead of going with his friends and bandmates, gray decided that going somewhere more peaceful would be for the best and thought that the dock would be a perfect match. so, after making up his mind, gray had driven out to the bay. a few teenagers were scattered around the area and fisherman lined the shoreline but other than that the docks were deserted. usually the place was so lively so gray found it unusual that he was one of the only people on chester bay.
he was new to chester bay, illinois considering he was born and raised in los angeles, california. his new home was very different compared to what he was usually accustomed to. it was a relatively quiet and quaint town... by day. at night, there was a very popular and very loud social scene that hit right home with gray. he had moved to the bay after visiting with his best friend and fellow bandmate (who had grew up in the small country town) and decided to move here: why not? he had quite a large fan base in the area and that was already good enough for him. if gray could sleep in the day and party and perform with his band by night, that was all he needed from a town and chester bay fit the bill. although he barely knew anyone yet (aside from a few folks he'd repeatedly seen at the nightclub), gray had to admit, he did enjoy life in chester bay.
wearing his black ipod headphones as one of his favorite songs poured into his ears. the sun was setting and as it slid down behind the horizon, it shone brightly on gray's face. he squinted from the harsh light before slowly getting up from where he was sitting on the dock. gray was wearing navy swim trunks and a loose-fitting white shirt, something simple he had thrown together for his trip to the bay. he made his way to his car slowly, kicking a rock with his flip-flop as he walked. gray arrived at his car and gripped the handle firmly, opening it quickly. he pushed himself in and grabbed his faithful guitar.
after placing the strap over his neck, gray shut the door and locked it behind him. he walked over the edge of the dock, where he had been sitting before, and sat down. he threw his flip-flops off next to him and strummed a few notes on his guitar, his baby. the sunlight loomed over his face yet gray didn't flinch this time; he was too focused in his music.
